INTRODUCTION

Hi there! We are Baltic Freya, a team of aeroponics enthusiasts working together since 2018.

We have developed new technology for aeroponic irrigation in controlled environment crop cultivation.

As part of our global launch strategy, we are introducing a PRE-RELEASE CAMPAIGN designed to reward early testers and adopters of our technology with attractive pricing and free global deliveries!

At one point in 2018, cauliflower prices in Lithuania shot up nearly four times. One of us jokingly said "this is a vertical farming opportunity". A joke turned into a discussion, and it was not long until we had built our first vertical fogponic module using off-the-shelf parts and an ice-cream cooler made in 1984. We spent several months running experiments, developing new tech and solving fogponic problems.

By mid-2019, we had to face reality - fogponic irrigation is not suitable for indoor cultivation. Our focus then shifted to pressure-based aeroponic systems, and finally we finally got positive results. However, the process of setting up the pressure systems, the clogging and the constant anxiety of system failure helped us realize that we need to look for something else.

In 2020, we decided to rethink the approach. By combining the best of high pressure systems and fogponic transducers, we started building various acoustic devices that could efficiently atomize a small volume of liquid using vibration.

When we first produced a fully functional model, we expanded the lab and tested lettuce performance against our old aeroponic setup. The results were similar, but working with our own devices took significantly less time and stress. Most importantly, our devices would not clog. That gave us extra time, which we spent looking for ways to pay for all this expensive "hobby".

Having won a few startup prizes and research grants, we shifted our focus from cultivation to engineering.

We continued to run experiments and build functionality designed to make our lives easier - that's where the "self-cleaning" feature came from.

In early 2022, we closed a small round of private funding, which allowed us all to focus on commercialization.

By September 2022, we had filed a patent application and engaged in several product testing and co-development partnerships with vertical farming and greenhouse development companies.

As of October 2022, we are creating our first production line and will be shipping our first devices as of January 2023.

BREAKTHROUGH INNOVATION

Combining acoustic technology, precision-machined titanium and artificial intelligence, Baltic Freya builds smart, uncloggable and highly tunable aeroponic nozzles and systems for controlled environment cultivation.

Baltic Freya e-Nozzles require no pressure pumps and few technical skills, thereby eliminating any previous barriers to aeroponic cultivation.

UNCLOGGABLE

The e-Nozzle works by delivering targetted acoustic vibrations to the titanium tip, where liquid is atomized into aerosol. This underlying principle lets us build wide internal channels of up to 6 milimetres, which eliminates clogging and enables organic aeroponics.

SMART

Each e-Nozzle has a built-in or an external Electronic Management Unit, which enables autonomous optimization and self-cleaning. Commercial & Research grade e-Nozzles offer connectivity, remote control, droplet diameter adjustment and predictive maintenance.

SOLID-STATE

The technological breakthrough defines an evolution of aeroponics we term “Solid-State Aeroponics”. The goal behind this new modality in aeroponic systems is the removal of mechanically pressurized systems, forced-pressure nozzles, and any other mechanical input that is consumed by the process.
